TALK TENNIS With Kerry heads to Wimbledon! The Wimbledon 2018 experience!

This year we took the show on the road all the way to SW19! Sipping on Pimms and nibbling on strawberries and cream, while dressed in our best whites, The All England Club in Wimbledon, London was where we set up shop. Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, and is widely regarded as the most prestigious.

The queue that would accumulate early every morning of hundreds upon hundred of people trying to grab those precious grounds passes, was a sight! A Wimbledon grounds pass is much more intimate than your average Grand Slam grounds pass though. In particular in the first week, your odds of being able to get very up close and personal with your favorite players is quite high! The grounds passes allow viewers as close as the very first row on all courts except the main stadium and court #1!! The main stadium court is of course an experience for the books. But, unless you're willing to shell out some serious dough, you'll have to watch those matches from Henman Hill . . .which is pretty amazing as well!
The Wimbledon Village, just outside of the stadium, lights up with the Tennis spirit during these two weeks. Imagine a Tennis Christmas! Every store is decked out with tennis decor and paraphernalia. And the generally calm village explodes with tennis enthusiasts, players, athlete entourages, networks, and so on.
What an extraordinary experience this year's Wimbledon was! Congratulations to our champions, Angelique Kerber and Novak Djokovic!
